Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body (muscles, connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments) and joints, to improve and prevent physical discomfort and relieve pain. It is performed with an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of all the body’s systems. Our style of Massage Therapy combines Swedish-Massage techniques with remedial exercise and hydrotherapy (the use of water at varying temperatures) to obtain optimal therapeutic results.
Therapeutic massage (Muscular Therapy) aids in the body’s own healing process of injuries and everyday overuse, and is a great form of preventative care!
We recommend Massage for:
General relaxation and increasing feelings of well-being
Reducing muscle tension and the associated discomforts, increasing flexibility
Reducing stress and anxiety associated with the everyday or unique situations
Improving sleep patterns, boosting the immune system, blood circulation and energy flow
Increasing range of motion in joints and decreasing rehabilitation time from injury
Relieving discomforts from pregnancy and labour
