Muscular Therapy

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body (muscles, connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments) and joints, to improve and prevent physical discomfort and relieve pain. It is performed with an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of all the body’s systems. Our style of Massage Therapy combines Swedish-Massage techniques with remedial exercise and hydrotherapy (the use of water at varying temperatures) to obtain optimal therapeutic results. Therapeutic massage aids in the body’s own healing process of injuries and everyday overuse, and is a great form of preventative care!

CranioSacral Therapy

First developed by Dr. John Upledger, CranioSacral Therapy evaluates the functioning of the CranioSacral system (made up of the membranes and fluid surrounding the Central Nervous System), then applies a gentle touch to release restrictions in this system, complimenting the body’s natural healing process and relieving symptoms of many conditions.  This non-invasive modality is also a great form of preventative care!

Originally from Japan, Reiki is translated as “Universal Life-Force energy”. It is a gentle, non-invasive form of hands-on healing, through the channeling of this energy to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.  The client remains fully clothed, lying comfortably on the table. The practitioner rests their hands gently on, or above, the body projecting Reiki Energy into the client.  Often, Reiki is felt as radiating warmth from the Practitioner’s hands. Everyone’s experience of Reiki is unique; many people feel a sense of well-being, relaxation, invigoration and release.

"Mitzie is a creative and incredibly intuitive Massage Therapist. She would always find exactly where the “problem areas” were and then release them putting my muscles all back into peace and harmony. Her relaxation massage as well as the ‘working on an issue’ massage, were always so beneficial to me. I left the sessions with a good solid combination of feeling both energized and relaxed. She actively listens to her clients. I also appreciated any wise advice for wellness she gave me."

“Jen is truly a gifted massage therapist! I’ve been going to various practitioners most of my life, and have had a variety of body work techniques performed on me–and Jen was one of the most technically proficient and attentive people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being worked on. She really listens to you, and she knows how to address any problems you have. She even used a massage technique to clear my sinuses one time!”
